February 19, 2014 Goal 4 committee meeting

IL Summit 2014 / October SILC Meeting
The Finance Com. asked SILC office to forecast 2014 budget to see if there will be funds for an IL Summit this year.
SM: The IL summit could include a public forum (needs assessment). Would also like to have a session to gather public input at the AT Expo. Would it be possible to combine IL Summit, Oct SILC meeting, and AT Expo, including a public forum?
SR: discussed possibility of all YLF delegates participating in the IL Summit. Potential funding sources: Can CILs pick up cost of some of the youth attendees? VR? DSB?

SILC Office Reimbursements
All reimbursements are currently up to date and have been received within 30 days of P&E submission
KM, PM & SM are on both Goal 4 and Finance committees; they will report back on the status of part B funding / reimbursements at Goal 4 committee meetings. 

Best Practices from Other SILCs / SPILs
Discussed sending an email to all SILC members, including ex officios: be prepared to tell us in April who will be on the subcommittee to review other SILCs / SPILs. Oshana Watkins has already volunteered to participate on this committee. An email should be sent to see who else is interested.
SM: offered to compile a list of information to be obtained. Will begin list and distribute among committee for feedback / other ideas.
