STATEWIDE INDEPENDENT LIVING COUNCIL DIVISION OF VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION REPORT SILC Meeting April 10, 2015 INDEPENDENT LIVING SERVICES: During the period of Dec 1 – 2014 – February 28, 2015 IL provided the following services: > Personal Assistant Services served 229 consumers > Home modification were provided to 269 consumers > Durable Medical Equipment was provided to 85 consumers VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICES* During Dec 1 – Feb 28 VR provided: ?Training to 3,398 consumers ?Job placement and job placement supports to 4,035 consumers ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY December 12, 2014- February 28, 2015 * Device Loans 1022 loans 2015. 33 open ended loans * Device Demos 294 demos with 588 people * Training Participants 368 people at 24 training events * Individuals at Public Awareness Activities 1,523 people at 31 events * Information and Assistance 2,342 people reached with info/assistance * Technology Exchange Post Transactions 6 for total savings of $4,530.00 * TOTAL Services to Individuals 2,815 services to 7,164 people statewide Additionally, 6 Devices and a cost savings of - $36,435 in the new pilot AT reuse program in Raleigh.  This is where people drop off AT and DME items and we find people to use it.  This does not go through the demo/loan program New Updates: ?Claudia Horn hired as the Senior Director for DVR, DSB, DSDHH ?
