May P&E Report – Kathleen Boaté 
a. Quarterly Meeting Expenses for one board member    
b. Paid expenses for Vice-Chair for a meeting at the SILC office on 4/29/15 and expenses to hold a SPIL Public Form on 5/28/15 in Waynesboro and Asheville.  Paid $2,500 for a sponsorship for the GREAT Conference
c. The May P&E in the amount of $19,142.92 left a balance due of $7,069.52 which payment was received on 6/12/15
d. Nothing unusual
e. Paid out vacation to Executive Director due to resignation.  Paid annual insurance premiums for Property & Casualty and Worker’s Compensation.  Paid annual fee for Intuit Payroll. 
CIL Contract Balances
The contract balance reports from VR are not up to date and the figures for the SILC office are incorrect.  Kathleen to contact VR to get updated figures and correct SILC figures.

SILC excess budget @ $20,000 (unspent funds MUST be returned to the State)
> Checking into the possibility of SILC office purchasing office supplies for the CILs
> According to the SPIL and IL Summit will be held with any excess funds at the end of the year
Duke Energy Community Information Session – October 5 from 8- 2 in Charlotte
> Session is to bring community into the Duke Energy to increase membership, educate public and also will have a veteran component.
> Would like a member of the SILC Board to speak to community regarding “Independent Living”
> Would like SILC Board Members to attend so plan for travel expenses
> Potential for fundraiser potential.
o Perhaps a joint bake sale
o Perhaps a raffle.  SILC could use unrestricted funds to purchase an item for raffle. 
> Ping to give information to Kay and Keith regarding SILC participation

Action Items:
-Kathleen to obtain updated CIL Contract Balance Report from VR and email to Finance Committee
-Kathleen to obtain 2015/2016 CIL Part B contract figures and email to Finance Committee
-Kathleen to contact Pamela Lloyd-Okoge to get information regarding ear-marking and spending funds after 9/30/15.
-Oshana to contact speaker for “Roberts Rule” Training and give information to Kay & Keith for a possible training at a Quarterly Meeting or IL Summit
-Ping to give information regarding Duke Energy Community Information Session to Kay & Keith to plan for SILC Board participation
